Regulatory compliance
At Pacasmayo, environmental compliance is a fundamental pillar of our management. We operate in accordance with current laws, regulations, and provisions established by the authorities, integrating respect for applicable standards into every one of our activities. This commitment guides our performance and promotes a culture of compliance that strengthens our sustainability and corporate responsibility.

We manage our legal compliance through a robust platform, updated by specialized law firms, which centralizes over 100 legal requirement matrices. These instruments are specifically tailored for each of our operational sites, ensuring that all activities are conducted in full compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
Our matrices are periodically reviewed to continuously evaluate regulatory performance. Furthermore, we utilize a daily alert system that keeps us informed of any regulatory changes, allowing us to take immediate action to maintain up-to-date operations.
This proactive and structured approach strengthens our management systems and ensures responsible operations. Consequently, we consolidate a model of excellence aligned with the highest sustainability standards across all our environmental and safety activities.
We maintain Environmental Management Instruments (EMI) approved by the competent authorities, which establish the guidelines and controls necessary to regulate and optimize the environmental performance of all our operations. These documents ensure that every process is executed within a framework of order and environmental responsibility.
Through these instruments, we identify the potential impacts of our activities to define strategies and design controls for prevention, mitigation, or compensation. Their proper implementation enables us to efficiently manage natural resources and fulfill our commitments transparently, consolidating our culture of sustainability and regulatory compliance.
Mitigation of Operational Impact
We conduct periodic environmental monitoring to evaluate air quality, emissions, water, and biodiversity. These measurements are performed by external laboratories accredited by the National Quality Institute (INACAL), ensuring maximum reliability of the results. The data obtained is reported to the Agency for Environmental Assessment and Enforcement (OEFA), in full compliance with current regulations.
Furthermore, our internal audits guarantee that we maintain high environmental performance across every process. This constant oversight allows us to go beyond legal compliance, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement throughout our management.
We responsibly fulfill the obligations established in our Environmental Management Instruments (EMI). To ensure their effective implementation across all our operations, we utilize a management platform that enables rigorous tracking, the assignment of responsible parties, the setting of deadlines, and the traceability of every action executed.
This tool, applied throughout all our units and periodically updated, guarantees a high standard of compliance and facilitates impact prevention. Through this proactive oversight, we ensure alignment with current regulations and consolidate our long-term sustainability strategy.
