Therefore, our biodiversity management focuses on implementing measures to prevent, mitigate, and reduce the potential impacts of our operations on ecosystems. We conduct periodic monitoring of risks that could affect flora, fauna, and ecosystem services within our areas of influence.
As part of this commitment, we develop and implement reforestation programs in priority areas using native species adapted to the local environment, thereby fostering soil recovery and the re-establishment of vegetation cover. Furthermore, we promote afforestation initiatives that expand green spaces, reaffirming our role in nature preservation and the sustainability of local ecosystems.
Water and waste management
Water is a limited and essential resource; therefore, we implement preventive and corrective measures to ensure its efficient use across all our operations. This entails utilizing the resource only as necessary, as well as continuously monitoring and recording usage volumes, thereby promoting optimization at every stage of the production process.
We have commissioned Water Treatment Plants where we process and reuse water. This initiative enables us to reduce fresh water consumption and minimize our water footprint, thereby actively contributing to the conservation of this vital resource.
We efficiently manage the waste generated by our operations, prioritizing its minimization and the reduction of potential risks to the environment and human health. Furthermore, we promote initiatives that foster the reuse of materials and strongly advocate for coprocessing and highly efficient practices aligned with the principles of the circular economy and environmental sustainability.
Air quality
Protecting air quality is a priority in our environmental management. To this end, we have implemented controls at every stage of our production processes. These controls allow us to continuously monitor and regulate emissions of particulate matter, gases, and other critical parameters, ensuring they remain below the limits established by current regulations.
Furthermore, we conduct periodic tests and implement preventive and corrective measures to guarantee optimal environmental performance.
